“The Fayetteville Morning News Hour” is anchored by veteran broadcaster Jeff Thompson. It airs weekday mornings between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m. The program was launched in January, 2011, to fill the void in local radio. “The Fayetteville Morning News Hour” is the community’s only feature-length radio news program. Jeff’s local news reports are aired four times during the hour. The program is supported by the statewide resources of the North Carolina News Network. It provides twice-hourly national and state newscasts. WIDU’s network affiliations also include an association with the WRAL-TV weather center which delivers brief local reports as well as expanded statewide weather forecasts. Editorial commentaries are an important element of the News Hour. Regular contributors include Margaret Dickson, Troy Williams, Sara Vanderclute, Nancy Shakir, Chris Fitzsimon and Carin Savel. Bloomberg Radio provides our daily business news reports.
